We love that Kindermusik has never been a “one size fits all” program. This has never been more true than with our new curricula and age groupings. While Kindermusik is generally divided up into several core levels, you have choices, depending on your child’s developmental stage and chronological age, your goals for your child, what scheduling you might need, and the experience you most want.
This class is just right for our newborns, lap babies, and crawlers – the younger ones who aren’t yet walking – along with their special adult.
With age-appropriate activities, this music and movement class will help you strengthen those early parent-child bonds, understand your baby’s development, and heavily focus on child development and communication with your baby. You’ll enjoy instrument play, dance, exploration time, and together time-.and you’ll get expert advice and parenting resources based on the most recent research in baby development. Don’t forget about our Welcome To The World Discount for babies under 4 months. We believe so strongly in the benefits Kindermusik can provide for babies and their parents, that we will pay the tuition for your 1st two months of classes–a $100 value! You pay only for your digital home materials ($22.60) and the registration fee is not due until you sign up for classes after your free months are done.
For Younger TODDLERS (1 to 2s)…Sing & Play
This class is designed for young toddlers–new walkers and those who are on the go and ready to explore, with mom, dad, or grandma very close by, of course!
Get ready to sing, play, and move with your child in this high-energy music class designed to encourage independent movement, learning and other necessary skills of children under two years of age. With the perfect mix of both parent-child joint activities and child-focused activities, you’ll be able to join right in on all the singing and dancing while also getting the chance to observe how your older baby or toddler learns on her own.
Your child changes a lot in the toddler years, and this class is just perfect for your toddler who is learning to be independent and yet still loves–and needs–special time with you.
This music-filled class celebrates the unique joys of your growing child. We understand that toddlers want to do it all, but really thrive most with your guidance and helping hand. Each week your child will love singing, dancing, and playing instruments with you and his new friends and you’ll love helping him practice a wide variety of abilities such as gross and fine motor skills, turn-taking, social skills, and active listening–all set to music!
If your preschool-aged child is developing a longer attention span, loves to share ideas, delights in pretend play, and is learning to wait his turn, this class will support and encourage his blossoming independence & his active imagination.
Each week in class we combine your preschooler’s natural love of music, storytelling, and imaginative play with age-appropriate activities that introduce early music concepts and foster independence, social and emotional skills, language growth, and self-control. We also connect you with other parents who share in the wonder of parenting a preschooler, especially when it’s time for everyone to join with us for our weekly Sharing Time at the end of class.
Move & Groove, our newest curriculum, is the perfect choice for children in their JK year.
In Move & Groove, we’ll engage your child in music and movement activities that also promote language, social and emotional skills, early math and early literacy, physical coordination, creativity, and more. Plus, we will introduce basic music vocabulary and notation–all setting the stage for our Kindermusik for the Young Child program (which we hope they’ll do next year), future school success and eventually, formal music lessons. Parents join the fun for the final activities.
For BIG KIDS (5 to 7 yrs)…Kindermusik for the Young Child
In Kindermusik for the Young Child, your budding musician will be introduced to fundamental musical concepts, notation, the basics of vocal development, a wide variety of musical styles, and the instruments of the orchestra through group ensemble play, music, games, and stories from many cultures.
These classes provide a rich musical foundation that sets the stage for future academic success and the transition into formal music lessons. By the time the 4-semester Young Child program draws to a close, your child will be eager for instrumental lessons, ready to sing in a children’s choir, or begin dance study. All this, and already familiar with the fundamentals of reading and writing the universal language of musical notation. The introduction of the glockenspiel, dulcimer and recorder provides children and parents an opportunity to explore pre-keyboard, string and wind instruments before making choices about formal lessons. Your enrollment includes all required instruments, song books, CDs and weekly interactive take home cards to continue the musical learning together at home.
